Nunakins is a family owned nonprofit Childcare and coalition based in Kotzebue, Alaska. As the only licensed childcare in the region our mission extends beyond childcare, including a diaper bank to alleviate the financial burden on local families; and advocating for region wide, community childcare.

While we are only an in-home center with size restraints on how many families we can support, we hope to support people interested in opening other in home childcare facilities, also communicating and planning with larger entities to someday establish a community early childhood center so that young children are able to have safe, consistent places to go during the day so parents are able to keep and excel in their careers.
